A special project won at the local government with as objective to provide a ‘gift’ towards elderly couples celebrating their Platinum Jubilee thus married for 70 years! Two gifts were selected. The first one is an “Art Portrait of the couple”. The alternative is an art work named “Butterflies”, a limited series accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Most of the couples of course went for the “Art Portrait”. It is such a privilege to receive the opportunity to do this. It actually means most of the approx. 20 couples I will be photographing in the next 3 years to come, have already reached their 90s and are often more than 75 years together as a couple. This is quite unique these days!
